Natural Ways to Detox AfterYour 4th of July Weekend

Feeling a little sluggish after this Fourth of July weekend? We’ve all been there. I wanted to share a few of my favorite ways to boost detoxification after celebrations involving unhealthy foods and a tad too much alcohol.

Over-consumption of heavily processed foods, non-organic foods, and alcohol can create high levels of inflammation throughout the body. Subsequent symptoms can include several days of bloating, puffiness, skin irritations, poor bowel movements, poor sleep quality, and more. Some of the most powerful detoxification options involve reducing systemic inflammation, supporting the liver’s ability to process toxins and flushing those toxins out of the body. Here are 5 of my favorite ways to help flush toxins from the body: 1) Infrared Sauna Infrared saunas stimulate toxins released at a cellular level and help flush those toxins out of the body through sweat. Likewise, increased blood flow reduces inflammation throughout the body, increases blood circulation and cellular oxygenation, leading to a faster recovery.

2) Lymphatic Stimulation Our lymphatic system plays a key role in processing and flushing toxins from our system. Activities like walking, jump roping, jumping jacks, & rebounder jumping is fantastic for helping stimulate lymphatic circulation. Focused lymphatic drainage can also be achieved through modalities like our manual lymphatic drainage massage and hemosonic therapy. 3) Epsom Salt Bath Epsom salt includes magnesium and sulfate. Magnesium supports a variety of functions involved in detoxification. Furthermore, sulfate helps calm and strengthen the digestive tract further enhancing the release of toxins. Together they help draw toxins from the body and reduce inflammation. We stock premium Epsom salts our Perfectly Healthy in-store and online. 4) Nano Bath Our 30-minute, hyper-oxygenated Nano Bath allows for high levels of oxygen absorption. In turn, this can lead to increased metabolism, energy levels, detoxification, blood circulation, improved sleep, and reduced pain and inflammation. 5) Hangover IV Our Hangover IV baths the body in high doses of B vitamins, electrolytes, and minerals to help relieve headaches and nausea, boost detoxification, rehydrate the body, and speed recovery. For more information or to book any of our treatments or IV’s, call (949) 680-1880 or email patients@cfnmedicine.com. With that said, I hope everyone had a festive, but safe, Fourth of July weekend! I can’t wait to share some of the exciting and informative content we are hard at work preparing for you all this summer!
