A Few Things I'm Thankful For This Thanksgiving

Here are a few things I am thankful for right now. I am thankful for a life full of wonder. The way morning dew floats on the grass. That first sip of coffee. Seeing a cancer patient smile. Holding my new granddaughter. I am thankful for a mind (mostly) at peace. Every day there is torrential of problems that come up. To me, winning is when I remain resilient in the face of the roller coaster of life. Peace in the mind, body, and soul are all connected. I am thankful for a job I love. The innocent immersion of one’s craft is something I am always grateful for. When we are devoted to something, we tend to lose ourselves in it. As we lose ourselves in it, the more blissful we become. When all we hear about in the news is pandemics and illness, it's easy to forget what makes living truly special: Wonder, peace, and immersion. Despite the media, winning in life is something we can experience every day if we immerse ourselves in the experience for the day, in the joy of our craft, and in the sincere quest of learning.
